Portfolio: Content Management

I’ve managed large websites with thousands of pages and launched small websites with less than 10 pages.

My content management style is organized and data-driven. I review website data to optimize performance and keep content up-to-date, adding helpful new content and optimizing existing content. Review some of my content management experience below.

Blog Management and Editorial Calendar

I managed the Sylvane blog throughout my time at the company. The blog is an industry-leading, go-to resource for air quality information and updates. Managing the blog meant I reported on performance KPIs, managed the editorial calendar and ensured our blogs were shared across social media platforms.

During COVID, I wrote a blog addressing consumer concerns about air purifier scammers. Read my air purifier scammer blog here. You can also browse other air quality content on the Sylvane blog.

Rewrites

‘How to Create an LLC’

While at ZenBusiness, our SEO conversions were up 30% YOY while I led the team in 2022. During that time, I led a project to rewrite our statewide ‘how to create an LLC’ pages. These pages received the most traffic across the entire site.

The report above shows traffic improvements on the Georgia-specific LLC page that I rewrote and managed in 2021 and 2022. The chart below shows keyword position improvements that helped drive more traffic to the page.

Launching a New Website

We launched QuenchEssentials.com in 2018. I wrote content for banners, owned the editorial calendar, created landing pages and tracked performance.

Forming Content Clusters

As a new site in a competitive market, we created content clusters to gain traction where we had opportunities. My research found room for us in the juicer category, which led to our content push. The juicers category rose to from 10th to our 3rd most successful category during this time.

The content push included:

-Created homepage banners (example above).
-An article and video script explaining Blenders vs. Juicers. It became one of our top-performing articles. The video has more than 33,000 views on YouTube.
-I wrote targeted blogs on specific topics like What are the Best Juicers for Health? and The Difference Between Expensive and Cheaper Juicers to take advantage of specific questions our potential customers were asking.
-Released social media posts and paid ads.

ATTA: New Website and Rebrand

ATTA is Atlanta’s premier LGBTQ+ tennis league. We offer a variety of competitive, social and community involvement opportunities for our members. I joined the board in 2020 as the Webmaster and created a new website for the organization in 2021.

The site hadn’t been updated since 2011 (photo above). I used WordPress to design a new site and rebrand the non-profit organization. As the content manager, I also made sure members could easily access new information, register and more.
